Tuki and family

Tuki, a Royal Bengal tiger cub, lives with her mother Anni in the jungles of Bangladesh. She is curious, independent, and courageous – and she has superpowers. Not only can Tuki fly, but she can also understand how people talk.

One day, while exploring the jungle, poachers kidnap her mother, while her brother and sister cubs flee in terror. Tuki must now take care of her remaining little brother, Raj, and learn how to help them both survive.

Searching for their mother, Tuki and Raj come across two lost human children, Sanjoy and Taposhi. The cubs' disabled grandfather, Baba, takes them all on a journey to the shrine of Bonbibi, the guardian spirit of the jungle. Maybe Bonbibi can reunite them with their families.

Meanwhile, Tuki's mother has been locked up in a Pakistani zoo, which has sold her to a circus. Desperate to find her children, Anni escapes from her cage and embarks on a journey across the Indian subcontinent, heading east towards her homeland.

But the world's biggest cyclone now descends on Bangladesh, destroying everything in its path. Tuki, Raj and their grandfather barely survive, along with the children. But slowly the animals reach out to help rebuild the land: beavers start by clearing the devastated beaches. Meanwhile, the Bengali people unite in voting in a democratic leader who cares what happens to their country.

With the help of the Monkey Grapevine, the children find their father, a conservationist. But while they rejoice, the Pakistani Army invades Bangladesh, ignoring the results of the election in order to steal the land's resources, and forcing everyone to speak a foreign language.

As the war rages on and the jungle burns, Tuki becomes more and more of a leader. She organizes the Animal Brigade to help fight the Pakistani soldiers. Tuki learns that when animals and people work together for the right reasons, anything can happen.

In the heat of combat, Bonbibi urges Tuki to put her flying superpowers to good use. Tuki battles the ferocious General Niazi, further empowered to fight with the triumphant return of Anni, whose life has been saved by Baba. Tigers, leopards, water buffalo, monkeys, and many other animals, birds and people help win the war.

When peace is declared, the children and their father return by boat to the Bay of Bengal along with an international team of conservationists. They are ready to go to work, helping to build the new country of Bangladesh.

Reunited, Tuki and her family celebrate their victory with the other animals and birds, singing joyfully in their own languages.
